Angela Dugalic and Lauren Betts are teammates once again. The Washington Mystics took Dugalic ninth overall after grabbing Betts with the fourth pick.
You can never have too much size on the basketball court. That’s the Washington Mystics mindset, as they double-dipped on UCLA Bruins frontcourt players in the 2026 WNBA Draft. After taking center Lauren Betts fourth overall, the Mystics snagged forward Angela Dugalic with the ninth overall pick. Betts and Dugalic will remain together at the professional level.Even though she came off the bench, you could see Dugalic’s value throughout the NCAA tournament, easily being one of the Bruins most impactful players.

The move to the bench didn’t hurt her individual numbers, putting up a career-high 9.0 points per game and shooting a career-best 50% from the floor.Dugalic has great mobility for a big, and also has proven capable of stretching the floor. Dugalic attempted only 2.3 threes per game but she shot 33% from deep. Dugalic being able to knock down open threes will be an important aspect of her game to watch as she heads to the WNBA.Angela Dugalic is the #9 pick of the WNBA draft and will head to DC with her teammate Lauren Betts! pic.twitter.com/pMxkfD8INC— Women’s Hoops Network (@WomensHoops_USA) April 14, 2026UCLA had Dugalic for four seasons, Dugalic began her collegiate career with Oregon, continuing the theme of the old-school Pac-12 for this year’s Bruin team.
