Taylor Sheridan’s sprawling neo-Western franchise saddles up for its next chapter, dragging two beloved characters far from Montana and straight into hostile new territory. Paramount+ prepares to unveil the latest addition to the ranching saga, and this time, the stakes cut deeper than ever.
Dutton Ranch to hit Paramount+ next month Paramount+ will premiere Dutton Ranch on May 15 with a two-episode debut. The Yellowstone spinoff follows Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler into South Texas. Chad Feehan serves as showrunner for the nine-episode first season.
The official synopsis sets the stage for Beth and Rip’s next chapter. “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together, far from the ghosts of Yellowstone, they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire,” Paramount+ stated. “In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul” (via TVLine).
The series replaces Kevin Costner’s singular protagonist model with a sturdy ensemble cast. Annette Bening joins as Beulah Jackson, a ruthless rival rancher threatening Beth and Rip’s plans. Ed Harris plays Everett McKinney alongside returning Yellowstone star Finn Little as Carter.
The cast also features Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney as Rob-Will, and Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreana. J.R. Villarreal and Marc Menchaca round out the core ensemble for the first season.
Taylor Sheridan and John Linson worked on the characters while Feehan, Hayley Tibbenham, and several others contributed as writers. New episodes will drop weekly on Fridays after the two-episode premiere on May 15. Paramount Network will air episodes at 8:00 p.m.
ET/PT for linear viewers. Paramount+ subscribers can stream new episodes starting at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET each Friday.
