Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi General Cement Company (IGCC) announced on Tuesday a significant production milestone, recording an output of over 676,000 tons of various cement types during February 2026. This growth is attributed to the sustainability and stability of operations across its national factories, marking a robust start to the fiscal year for Iraq’s industrial sector. Director General Awadh Kadhim Abdul Amir confirmed that marketing efforts kept pace with production, with over 664,000 tons sold in February alone.
This supply has been critical in meeting the rising demand of the domestic construction market, especially as the Development Road and Floating Dock projects accelerate. Key Performance Growth (Compared to February 2025): Kubaisa Cement Plant: Recorded a massive 37% growth rate. Al-Qaim Cement Plant: Achieved a 17% increase in output. Sinjar Cement Plant: Saw a steady 14% development rate.
