Before the WNBA Draft ended on Monday, Flau'jae Johnson was moved to a new team. The Golden State Valkyries traded the former LSU women's basketball star to the Seattle Storm for Marta Suarez, who the Storm selected at No. 16 overall, and a 2028 second round pick. Johnson will suit up for the Storm in her rookie season.
She heads to the west coast to join one of the most storied franchises in the WNBA. The Storm won four championships, the most recent coming in 2020. A four-year starter for head coach Kim Mulkey, Johnson leaves LSU as a national champion and one of its most prolific scorers.
Her 2,063 points rank fifth on the program's all-time scorers list. She averaged 14.2 points per game on 47% shooting from the field.
